This simple one-block quilt
looks difficult because it appears to be triangle blocks appliqued diagonally
onto a background. However, it is merely half-square triangle blocks set together
to create that look. These are variations of a pattern which was published in
American Patchwork & Quilting magazine in 1998.
Version
1 is constructed with sewn-on plain borders and measures approximately 48" finished.
Version 2 measures approximately 42" finished and has a pieced border look, although
it is just the one block colored differently to create a border effect.
The pattern
includes BOTH versions,
but only one picture of either of the above.
